The NJ Composting Council, a nonprofit industry group, advances compost manufacturing, compost utilization, and Organics Recycling to benefit our members, society, and the environment in the state of New Jersey. Source Compost has been a member of the council since 2023 and is active in the advocacy committee.

The Ramsey Farmer’s Market is where you’ll find us every other Sunday for compost drop-offs.
This lively market runs all year round, has a variety of local vendors, supports small business, and often features live music!

We are proud to be working with the Ramapo Green Sustainability Hub to develop a campus composting program. Source Compost is providing workshops on compost methods so that students can take this knowledge home with them. We are also helping students collect food wast from the dorms and compost it on campus.

MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization, Inc.) is an environmental not-for-profit organization which carries out sustainability projects in Northern New Jersey. MEVO addresses local environmental concerns ranging from stopping illegal trash dumping throughout the indigenous community of the Ramapough Lunaape Nation, to creating sustainable community farms, and building miles of low-impact hiking trails.
